Open positions

If you have any questions, feel free to check out our FAQs.
Here you will find an overview of the open positions. The further application process takes place via our training portal. We look forward to receiving your application.

How to apply correctly for a apprenticeship or dual studies - simply explained

When you apply for an apprenticeship or dual studies, we are not just about grades and degrees. Rather, we are about getting to know you as people – with your interests, strengths, ideas and goals. That’s why it’s important that you don’t adjust, but be authentic.
Nevertheless, a carefully designed application and a safe, friendly interview experience are important. Because even if personality matters, good preparation shows that you are committed and really want to train.

The CV is an overview of your past school and (if any) professional history. It should be clear, error-free and well-structured. At the top is your personal data: Name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth. Providing your citizenship is not mandatory, but it makes it easier for us to work through the hiring process. An application photo is no longer a must today, but is still welcomed.
Then your school career follows. Here you will indicate which school you are currently attending, which degree you are pursuing, and when you expect to do it. If you have special areas of focus (such as technology, languages, or economy), you can also mention them here. It is best to start with your current school background (e.g., high school, intermediate maturity) and list your previous school career in descending order.
Afterwards, practical experience comes: Internships, secondary jobs, or other activities that have something to do with the profession or show that you can take responsibility. Always state when and where you worked and what tasks you took on. Volunteering—for example, in a club or as a student mentor—is also a good thing. Please attach internship certificates or similar evidence of your application.
In the next section, you will be able to list specific knowledge and skills. This includes, for example, language skills (such as German or French), computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel), craftsmanship, or soft skills such as teamwork or reliability. In the end, you can name your hobbies if you like. Make sure they say something about you at best, such as team spirit, perseverance, or creativity. At the end, you will sign your CV with your place, date and signature.
The cover letter is the most individual part of your application. It is no longer mandatory for most applications to explain your chance, why you are interested in this training or dual studies and what excites you about the company. At the same time, you can show what characteristics or strengths you bring that are a good fit for the profession.
A good cover letter is a maximum of one page long and consists of three sections. Make sure to note both the sender and the recipient in the letterhead. Likewise, the date of creation should not be missing.
  • Introduction: Briefly introduce yourself and name the apprenticeship you are applying for. Example: “This will allow me to apply for an apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician from September 2026.”
  • Body: Explain why you are interested in this profession, what motivates you and what skills you bring. Perhaps you have already done an internship in the field? Or a school focus that fits well?
  • Close: Express a desire for feedback on your application. Example: “I’m happy to introduce myself in a face-to-face conversation.” Also add a greeting with your full name and signature.
  • Important: Write clearly, kindly and authentically, but avoid standard flossing and show that you have dealt specifically with the position and the company.
A full application also includes copies of your current school certificates – usually the last two. If you have already completed an internship, you should also include internship certificates or assessments. They specifically show how you have behaved in practice – and that often counts more than grades.
Make sure your records are scanned cleanly or copied neatly.

If you are invited to an interview, you can be proud of yourself – your application has won! Now it’s about showing yourself personally that you are motivated and well prepared.
Know the company thoroughly in advance. Take a look at the website, find out exactly what the company does, how big it is, and where it is based. Also think about why you want to do your training or dual studies right there and what interests you in the profession.
Consider answers to typical questions, such as: “Why do you want to learn this profession?”, “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” or “Tell me about yourself.” Be honest, but also confident. Weaknesses are to be admitted calmly, but importantly, that you show that you want to work on yourself. Also prepare your own questions, for example: “What is the training process?” or “What’s next after the interview?”
On the day of the call, you should arrive on time – it’s best to arrive 10 minutes early. Choose a well-groomed but not overly chic outfit that suits the profession. In the conversation itself, it is important to be friendly and attentive. Try to speak clearly and concisely and keep eye contact, even if you are nervous – that’s normal. Polite interaction and an open smile often make a good impression.
