Nuclear Power Generation
Proven nuclear technology for critical applications.

A growing nuclear market demands proven partners
Nuclear power is entering a new phase of growth, driven by decarbonization, energy security, and rising electricity demand from AI data centers, electrification, and digital infrastructure.
Opportunities span large-scale new-build reactors, SMRs, advanced reactors, and long-term operation of existing fleets. Each requires reliable technology, robust documentation, disciplined quality processes, and long-term lifecycle support. Large-scale plants need proven high-availability solutions, while SMRs and advanced reactors require compact, efficient, integrated technologies. Existing fleets need dependable replacement, retrofit, and modernization support.
Innomotics meets these needs with proven nuclear references and a comprehensive portfolio of drives, motors, generators, and system solutions.

Nuclear Power FAQ
What nuclear applications does Innomotics cover?
We cover the Nuclear Island, Turbine Island, and Balance of Plant, including main reactor coolant pump drives, feedwater and condensate pumps, cooling and service water systems, ventilation fans, emergency diesel gensets, and grid-connection applications. Whether it's a large-scale reactor fleet, an LTO program, an SMR, or an advanced reactor concept, our portfolio spans the full plant.
Do you support SMRs and advanced reactors?
Yes. We engage with SMR and advanced reactor developers at the design stage to ensure motors and drives meet the specific spatial, seismic, and thermal requirements of modular reactor platforms. Early engagement reduces qualification overhead and accelerates commissioning timelines. Our portfolio, including Perfect Harmony GH180 air-cooled drives, HV M, HV C and AboveNEMA Motors, is already supporting SMR and advanced reactor development.
How do you support Long-Term Operation programs?
We support LTO through replacement, retrofit, modernization, and lifecycle services for critical electrical equipment. Our overhaul of 24 motors at CEZ’s NPP Dukovany, restoring them to full operational specification after more than 40 years, demonstrates our practical LTO capability.
What GH180 features help support nuclear plant uptime?
GH180 Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled drives can be configured with Advanced Cell Bypass and cell redundancy to help maintain operation following a power-cell fault. Advanced Cell Bypass isolates a failed cell in 250 ms or less while maintaining a balanced output voltage. Air-Cooled drives can also include a redundant blower that automatically takes over if the primary blower fails. Water-Cooled configurations can include redundant cooling pumps and blowers, depending on the selected design.
What is GH180 Water-Cooled High Availability?
Perfect Harmony GH180 Water-Cooled High Availability is a medium-voltage drive platform for critical nuclear applications. Its HA configuration includes duplicate or redundant controls, interfaces, and protection functions. Subject to project configuration, failed control components can be exchanged and control redundancy restored during operation. It supports uninterrupted 24/7 operation over 18- to 24-month mission runs.
Does Innomotics supply reactor coolant pump motors?
Yes. HV RP Nuclear motors are designed for main reactor coolant pump applications in the Nuclear Island. They support one of the plant’s most critical functions, where long-term reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance are essential.
What motors support turbine island applications?
Modular and Compact High-Voltage Motors support feedwater, condensate, cooling water, service water, and other auxiliary pump applications. They can also be applied to fans, compressors, and other Turbine Island and Balance of Plant equipment.
Do you supply generators for emergency power?
Yes. GEN M modular synchronous generators support Emergency Diesel Genset applications, backup power, auxiliary generation, and other critical plant power-support duties requiring dependable operation.
What system solutions are available?
Innomotics provides integrated system solutions including Grid Applications, E-house packages, integrated drive-and-motor systems, electrical infrastructure support, and plant-level system integration. These solutions help reduce interface complexity and support project execution.
